DV Quickscan is designed to reduce the time and
effort in converting digital video (DV) tape into MPEG files,
offering users an easy way to preview and select the content
they want captured. An entire DV tape can be previewed at
up to 6 times the normal viewing speed. Individual clips are
created at points where the camera was stopped during recording,
making it much easier for users to identify each scene.

Buffered Capture technology is designed to improve
the quality of video captured during conversion from raw footage
into MPEG files. In this case, the hard disk is used to ensure
that none of the video’s frames drop out, acting as
a place to temporarily hold the video being captured. This
feature is ideal for users who are keen on video editing,
but who don't necessarily have a PC with the latest and fastest
CPU. In fact Buffered Capture ensures that even slower and
older computers are able to capture quality video for creating
great results.

InstantMPEG converts DV camcorder video into
MPEG format in real-time without having to transfer the video
into AVI format first. Since AVI files are noticeably larger
than MPEG-1/2 files, InstantMPEG lets users save valuable hard
disk space and valuable time by eliminating the need to convert
files from AVI to MPEG after capturing. |
