What does the error code "89030000" mean?
With regards to error code: 89030000, this problem is caused by one of the following:
- DVD title issue
- DVD-ROM issue
- PowerDVD software issue
Please kindly try the following actions to verify the possible cause of the problem:
- Use "Disc mode" to play a general commercial DVD title, and then try different discs to see whether the same error message occurs.
In addition, please open "Windows Explorer", check in the drive where the DVD disc was inserted, and see whether the files on the disc can be recognized correctly with valid formats, and also with a file size rather than "0". - If the same problem remains, please visit your DVD-ROM manufacturer's
official website to update the firmware for your DVD-ROM model. - Visit the Cyberlink web site to download and install the patch files to update the program:
PowerDVD 3.0 patch URL: (See reference link below)

PowerDVD 5.0 patch URL: (See reference link below)
PowerDVD 6.0 patch URL: (See reference link below) - If the actions above did not succeed in resolving the problem, then please follow the steps below to uninstall PowerDVD and then re-install it:
(a) Start --> Programs --> Cyberlink Power DVD (select to "uninstall" it)
(b) Start --> Run (key in "regedit") --> HKEY_Current_User --> Software --> Cyberlink --> delete "PowerDVD" & "PDVD" folders.
(c) Start --> Run (key in "regedit") --> HKEY_Local_Machine --> Software --> Cyberlink --> delete "PowerDVD" & "PDVD" folders.
(d) Re-install PowerDVD - Also, please uninstall all the burning programs on your PC first, before re-installing PowerDVD program to retry those steps above again.
If the procedures above cannot solve your problem, then the problem might be caused by a compatibility
issue between PowerDVD and your PC. Please help us to verify the cause of your problem by trying the following
steps:
(1) Please advise us the names and region(s) of the DVD titles you tried
(2) Use Windows Media Player to playback the DVD title and see if it can work without any problem.
(3) Please help to upload two system files for further analysis by the following
instructions:
(a) Start -> Programs -> Cyberlink Power DVD -> System Diagnosis -> Diagnostic.
This will generate a file named "Cldma.log" file
(b) C drive --> Program Files --> DirectX --> setup --> Dxdiag --> press "save all information" --> "DxDiag.txt" file will be created
We will pass this information to our R&D team for further analysis. In case of any updates, we will upload a patch file to fix this error as soon as possible.
