Magic Motion Tutorial

This page is dedicated to revealing how a little touch of magic for your photos (i.e. images files) dynamically transforms it into a dazzling slideshow. Instead of just the usual text and transition effects, why not give PowerDirector's wand another twirl and add subtle panning and zooming to photos and still images?

1. After you have imported image files into this project's library, drag one onto the Video track.
2. Once it is on the video track, select the file (if it is not selected). Click the Magic Motion icon.
3. The automatic focus is the default. To manually select your focus or to enlarge/minimize the focus area, follow the instructions below.
  • Uncheck Automatically set focus.
  • Position your cursor in the selection.
  • Drag the selected area to another desired location.
You may also enlarge or minimize the selection area.

  • Place your cursor above any of the grid-points. Drag to enlarge or minimize.
    4. When you are satisfied, click OK.
